SOAX's 60-Minute Session Cap Is the Real Dividing Line

Most comparisons of these two providers lead with pool size. That is the wrong lens. The specification that actually determines which one you can use is session duration, and here the two providers are not on the same scale.

SOAX caps sticky sessions at 60 minutes. You can set any interval from one to 60 minutes, and that is the ceiling. Worse for interactive workflows, the session also expires after just 60 seconds of inactivity, regardless of the duration you requested. SOAX's own documentation confirms both limits, and independent reviewers treat the hour as a hard cap.

NodeMaven holds sessions far longer. Its own pages are inconsistent — the residential product page advertises up to 7 days while the pricing page says 24 hours — and we flag that contradiction rather than repeating either figure as fact. Independent testing of 250 sessions found 38.2% ran beyond 25 minutes and 14.9% ended within five, which is normal behaviour for a residential network where the host device ultimately controls session life. But the ceiling is measured in hours or days rather than a single hour.

What this means in practice. If you are managing social accounts, warming profiles in an antidetect browser, running long automation, or doing anything where a mid-task IP change breaks the session or trips a platform's security checks, a 60-minute cap with a 60-second idle timeout is disqualifying. That is not a criticism of SOAX's engineering — it is a product built for scraping, where fast rotation is the point. It simply is not built for identity work.

NodeMaven pushes further in the same direction with static ISP proxies: one dedicated IP held for a full 30 or 90 days with unlimited traffic. Since SOAX appears to have discontinued its ISP product, there is no equivalent on that side of the comparison at all. Both providers have been benchmarked by Proxyway, though in separate runs — SOAX in April 2025 and NodeMaven in July 2025. We flag that because it limits strict comparability, and any page presenting these as a perfectly matched head-to-head is overstating its evidence.

Two observations. SOAX's US gateway at 0.55 seconds was the fastest of every provider in that benchmark round, which is a genuine achievement — though its US success rate of 98.25% was below the market median while NodeMaven's 99.21% was above it. And both providers struggle in Asia-Pacific: 2.18 seconds for NodeMaven in India against 2.14 for SOAX. If APAC latency is your problem, neither of these is the fix.

Google is the clearest result in this comparison. NodeMaven managed 52.52% — roughly one request in two failing to CAPTCHAs — against SOAX's 81.50%. Neither is exceptional, and SOAX's own reviewer noted “every fifth request to Google failed.” But a 29-point gap is decisive: if search data matters to your work, SOAX is materially better here, and its SERP scraper API removes the problem entirely. In fairness, NodeMaven's benchmark used rotating sessions while its quality filter needs sticky sessions, so a sticky configuration would likely score better — by how much, no one has published.

NodeMaven vs SOAX Pricing: Two Completely Different Models

This is not a like-for-like price comparison, because the two providers sell access differently. SOAX relaunched in July 2026 onto a platform model: you buy a monthly plan that includes a credit balance, and bandwidth draws down those credits at a per-gigabyte rate set by your plan tier and the geography you target. NodeMaven simply sells gigabytes with no platform fee.

Read that table by budget rather than by row. Below roughly $200 a month, NodeMaven is straightforwardly cheaper: SOAX's only no-commitment option is the Sandbox tier at $5.00/GB, while NodeMaven's entry rate with AFFMAVEN35 lands near $2.76/GB with no monthly fee at all. Between $200 and $500, the two are close, with the answer depending on which geography tier your targets fall into. Above $1,500 a month, SOAX's Scale and Enterprise rates are genuinely lower than anything NodeMaven offers, and its Tier 3 pricing from $0.35/GB is in a different category entirely.

Three structural details worth weighing. SOAX credits roll over for 60 days (365 on Enterprise), which is generous but finite; NodeMaven's traffic rollover has no stated expiry. SOAX bills postpaid, so overage beyond your included credits is charged after the fact — convenient, but easier to overspend on. And NodeMaven pays up to 10% cashback on consumed traffic, which SOAX does not offer at all.

KYC and Compliance: The Other Deciding Factor

For a large share of buyers this section matters more than any performance number, because it determines whether you can use the service at all.

SOAX requires mandatory verification

SOAX's KYC/KYB policy took effect on 1 June 2026 and applies before any paid service can be activated. It collects the identity and contact details of the account owner and authorised representatives, business registration and entity details, tax identification information, ownership and beneficial ownership details, and copies of identity documents or other supporting evidence. Requirements vary by entity type, service, intended use, jurisdiction, payment method and SOAX's own risk assessment, and third-party verification providers may be involved.

Verification is not a one-time gate either: re-verification can be triggered by a change in ownership, unusual activity, a change of payment method or other risk factors. The policy also states plainly that if you fail verification, SOAX may refuse, restrict, suspend or terminate access without a right to refund except where law requires one.

NodeMaven has no apparent KYC at all

NodeMaven appears to operate no identity verification process, accepts more than ten cryptocurrencies alongside cards and wire transfer, and onboards immediately. That is genuinely convenient and it is one of the main reasons individuals and privacy-focused buyers choose it. It is also, in fairness, the flip side of a transparency gap: independent reviewers note NodeMaven discloses very little about how its IPs are sourced.

The honest conclusion: neither provider will satisfy a procurement team that requires actual ISO 27001 certification. Both are “in progress” or silent. SOAX is the easier sell on paperwork thanks to its UK entity and formal published policies; NodeMaven is the easier purchase if you want to be running within ten minutes. Product gap

SOAX Appears to Have Discontinued Its ISP Proxies

If you are comparing these two providers for static residential IPs, the comparison may already be over. Independent reporting indicates SOAX discontinued its US ISP proxy pool in late 2025, and its ISP product page no longer resolves. Confusingly, some third-party pricing aggregators still publish SOAX ISP tiers, and SOAX's own NodeMaven comparison page — whose data is dated October 2024 — still lists ISP proxies among its products. SOAX also acquired two proxy businesses in May 2025 reportedly to strengthen that very pool, which makes the subsequent withdrawal harder to read.

We could not confirm an active SOAX ISP product as of 4 August 2026, and we would rather say that than guess. If you need static residential IPs, verify current availability with SOAX directly before planning around it.

Measured figures narrow the gap considerably. Proxyway observed 752,416 unique SOAX IPs over 21 days against 878,883 for NodeMaven on comparable global runs — so NodeMaven actually returned more unique addresses in that test. Proxyway was blunt about the marketing number, saying of the 155M claim that it “sounds way too big to be true.” Treat both vendors' pool claims sceptically; SOAX's mobile pool advantage, however, is real and substantial.

Which has better IP quality?

Different mechanisms, and NodeMaven's is the more transparent. NodeMaven screens each residential and mobile IP against fraud-score and reputation databases before assigning it, and independent sampling of 1,000 US IPs showed average Scamalytics scores falling from 10.94 unfiltered to 4.4 with the filter on medium. SOAX has no equivalent pre-assignment filter, though its measured pool authenticity is excellent at 97–99% genuine residential.

The important caveat is that NodeMaven's filter only works with sticky sessions. Neither provider discloses concrete IP sourcing — Proxyway called SOAX's lack of disclosure “concerning” and made a similar observation about NodeMaven.

Which is better for mobile proxies?

On scale, SOAX: 33M+ mobile IPs against NodeMaven's few hundred thousand, and one unified rate covering residential and mobile on the same plan. That is a genuinely useful commercial structure for workflows that interleave the two.

Two caveats. Multiple SOAX reviewers report mobile sessions dropping within 30 to 60 seconds, and independent measurement found its Brazilian mobile pool extremely thin at 4,881 unique IPs. NodeMaven bundles mobile into the same allowance as residential at no extra cost, so the marginal cost of testing it is zero. Benchmark both against your own platforms before committing.

Which one has better compliance and certification?

Neither is certified, which surprises people. SOAX states it is actively pursuing SOC 2 and ISO 27001 but holds neither as of mid-2026, though it claims GDPR and CCPA compliance and partners with the World Ethical Data Forum. NodeMaven publishes no certification either.

SOAX is nonetheless the easier sell to a procurement team: it is a UK-registered company, SOAX LTD, with a formal published KYC/KYB policy and clearer legal documentation. If your security review demands actual ISO 27001, neither qualifies — Decodo is the provider in this category that holds it.
